Gifts are more than just the shiny wrapping paper and the colorful bits of ribbon. they’re about giving yourself to another. gifts tell a person how thankful you are for having them in your life. It’s the surprise that lights up a person’s face, and the smile that dances upon their lips. Big or small, gifts are about selflessness. And when gifts are wrapped with love, they truly become priceless.

Service is all about sacrifices. It is extending your hand out t someone in need without asking for anything in return. It is through service that we are able to ease the burden of others. Whether its something as big as giving up your weekend to do volunteer work, or just simply pouring a bottle of water for your mother, it is through the humility of service that we become our best selves. By serving others, we are able to put a little more love in the world.

Time is best measured by seconds, minutes and hours spent with the ones we love. More than just the length, it is the quality of time that makes each moment precious and memorable. it lives in the split second of a child’s face breaking into a laugh. It is present in the hour you spent listening to a friend;s problem. Or even in the five minutes it takes to pour your mom a bottle of Water and just ask her about her day. Because you’re giving her more than just water, you’re giving her love. Love that;s made even more priceless. So spend a lot of time with your love ones for time is gold and priceless.

Every single touch we make to our love ones has a meaning of showing them how we care and how much we love them. There is also touch therapy which can heal by touching. So show your love ones how much love you can gave them by touching them every now and then.

Introduction
Perhaps no person in the country could better exemplify the extraordinary strengths and capabilities of single Moms than the later former president Corazon “Cory” Aquino. While she was widely credited for bringing back democracy in our land, she was also much praised for single-handedly raising her children during the time when her late husband Ninoy was incarcerated for eight years in Fort Bonifacio. With Sheer combination of guts and faith, single moms can, like Cory did, take control of their situation- especially so when they have the law on their side.

WHO ARE SINGLE MOMS?
To clarify, “single mom” is not a legal term. Under the Solo Parents Welfare Act of 2000, single moms are legally called “solo parents”. Solo Parents primarily because they have “responsibility of parenthood,” meaning they have a child or dependent under care.

The Perseids (pronounced /ˈpɜrsiː.ɨdz/ us dict: pûr′·sē·ĭdz) are a prolific meteor shower associated with the comet Swift-Tuttle. The Perseids are so called because the point they appear to come from, called the radiant, lies in the constellation Perseus.

Every year in early August, we can observe the Perseid meteor shower (“the Perseids”). And it’s a fascinating sky event.

Here’s a beginners’ guide to what it is and how best to enjoy it. (Perhaps, impress your friends with these astronomy questions and answers!)

Meteor showers occur when Earth moves through a meteor stream. The stream in this case is called the Perseid cloud and it stretches along the orbit of the Comet Swift-Tuttle. The cloud consists of particles ejected by the comet as it passes by the Sun. Most of the dust in the cloud today is approximately a thousand years old. However, there is also a relatively young filament of dust in the stream that was pulled off the comet in 1862. The rate of meteors originating from this filament is much higher than for the older part of the stream.

Gongoozler is a person who enjoys watching activity on the canals in the United Kingdom. The term is also often used in a more general way to describe those who have an interest in canals and the canal life, but do not actively participate.

So that means if you’re a canal person, you’re a Gongoozler!

House Black Ants, which can also be popularly known as “Sugar Ants” can be most of the times annoying. You open the sugar canister to find out that it was invaded by hundreds of black ants!

Black Ants

Keep Ants Away from your House

Keeping black ants (or any types of ants) away from you home! Here are a couple of tips in getting rid of those pesky, annoying black ants.

When the ants go marching two by two to your sugar bowl, then you know it’s time for some creative pest control. Keep ants outside (where they belong) by sprinkling a thin layer of baking soda in the cracks underneath the doors and anywhere else they can get into your house.

Cinnamon gets rid of ants they dont like it at all …..put it where you have seen them comming from and they will go away.

Bay leaves, especially when dipped into mint mouthwash and placed around the food pantry, are another helpful option.

Try to seal any possible holes to keep the invasion at bay, and make sure there is no garbage or anything attractive to ants near the entrance of your home. Windowsills should be clear of food, as these can be popular places for ants to enter.

Creating a ring of Vaseline or chalk around windows and doors also helps, as ants will not cross lines draw with any of these products. While this may not help you get rid of the ants already present in your home, it will certainly discourage other ones to join the invasion. Baby powder is another great ant repellent. Sprinkling some on doors will keep ants out of your house.

Ants also hate vinegar. For an easy solution, just mix equal parts of vinegar and water and then sprinkle on counters and other food storage and preparation areas. If there are no small children or pets in the house, you can also use glass cleaner to spray areas in other rooms outside of the kitchen.

Then there’s nippon, raid, baygon products.

Have you ever heard something about a Red Show? Yes, the flaming Red hot snow? I myself was a little curios when I found out that there are a constant number of people who are searching and researching about Red Snow.

So, this Red Hot Snow post is all about that… Red snow. Now, I did a little Googling myself and found out that there are several stuffs that relate to this phenonmena known as Red Snow. Let’s Enumerate:

Wikipedia Red Snow – Wikipedia is probably the most credible article about Red Snow in the internet. It’s the first thing that show up when you do a quick search for one thing, and Wikipedia is the number one reference for other things for another.

Red Snow was a British thermonuclear weapon. Its physics package was apparently similar, if not identical, to that of the United States W28 nuclear warhead used in the B28 nuclear bomb and AGM-28 Hound Dog missile, with an explosive yield of approximately 1 megaton.

The Red Snow warhead was developed after a September 1958 decision to adopt the US warhead for British use, following the 1958 US-UK Mutual Defence Agreement. It entered service in 1961, remaining in use until 1972, when it was replaced by the WE.177 bomb. Perhaps 150 were produced.

Red Snow was used as both a free-fall bomb and as the warhead of the Blue Steel missile.[1][2] In the gravity bomb role, it was fitted into the casing of the Yellow Sun weapon, even though the Red Snow warhead was considerably smaller than that of the original Yellow Sun bomb.

Biological Red Snow – And of course, there’s also such a thing as a Green Snow but we’re here to talk about Red snow here, right? Of course.

Microbiologist Brian Duval hates this part, so let’s just deal with the snickering up front. Yes, he studies yellow snow.

See? There’s even a yellow snow!

Snow algae aren’t ice algae. Many of the ice species tolerate salt water and survive in solid ice packs at the poles. “They’re completely different species,” Duval says, sounding a little surprised that anyone would want to lump the groups together.

To find snow algae, look for serious snow, long lasting and several feet deep. William H. Thomas of Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, Calif., goes to the high spots in Yosemite National Park and other snowfields at least 10,000 feet up in the Sierra Nevadas, the Cascades, and the Rocky Mountains. There, Thomas’ particular passion, watermelon snow, tinted mostly by Chlamydomonas nivalis, ripens around July in the same places year after year.

“The red snow gets all the publicity,” remarks Ronald W. Hoham of Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y. “I find the green and orange more interesting.”

Red snow From Britanica Encyclopedia – Here’s another one that is soo credible by their name alone.

Snow or ice surfaces, usually overlying soil on mountains, that are coloured by algae such as Chlamydomonas or Raphidonema. During seasons when there is little sunlight and temperatures are below the freezing point, the algae are dormant.

PS: And of course there are songs about “Red Snow” and there are tons of Lyrics about Red snow, including one from Psychostick.
