Bruce Rossmeyer, America’s largest Harley Davidson dealer and well regarded supporter and sponsor of the motorcycle community was killed earlier today in an motorcycle accident in Wyoming.

Rossmeyer was riding in a group of five motorcyclists when they attempted to pull pass a SUV with a trailer. Rossmeyer was the last in line and was killed when the SUV turned left in front of him.

Rossmeyer came late to the motorcycle community, opening his first Harley dealership after “retiring” from the car industry in 1994. He success came quickly with new dealerships opened and acquired, allowing Rossmeyer to become a well known supporter and sponsor of motorcycle community events.

Among others, Rossmeyer sponsored the Buell team that fields Danny Eslick in the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike class, and he also founded events such as Biketoberfest in Daytona.

Bruce Rossmeyer, whose empire of Harley-Davidson dealerships made him the company’s largest dealer, was killed in Wyoming in a motorcycle crash, sources confirmed.

Rossmeyer was traveling with a group of friends on his way to the Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota.

Wyoming Highway Patrol officials confirmed there was a fatal motorcycle crash involving a Florida resident on Wyoming Highway 28 near Pinedale, but refused to release further details.

Rossmeyer’s family is expected to release a statement soon.

2009 Wimbleton Finals Men’s Division

As it is, No. 2 Roger Federer’s overwhelming 7-6 (3), 7-5, 6-3 victory over No. 24 Tommy Haas of Germany in Friday’s opening semifinal match on Centre Court put the Swiss star in a seventh (7th) consecutive Wimbledon final title match and a record 20th career Grand Slam final. Federer is 20-3 in major semis over his career, reaching 16 of the past 17 major finals.

Federer who’s been very eager and determine to win will be there for the fight and will try to surpass Pistol Pete Sampra! A victory over No. 6-seeded Andy Roddick of the United States in Sunday’s final at the All England Club would give Federer his 15th Grand Slam singles championship, breaking a tie with Sampras for the most in history. It also would give Federer a sixth Wimbledon title and a return to No. 1 in the rankings.

The 23-year-old American No. 6 Andy Roddick celebrated rather emotionally after defeating No. 3 Andy Murray of Britain 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (5) in Friday’s second semifinal match. The 2003 U.S. Open champion Roddick, still seeking a second major title, dropped to his knees, leaned forward and covered his head with his hands after finishing off Murray. This is his third Wimbledon final appearance.

2009 Wimbleton Finals Women’s Division

In the Women’s opening Semifinals match, Serena Williams showed her fight Friday, saving a match point against Elena Dementieva before winning 6-7 (4), 7-5, 8-6. The match, longer by time than any Wimbledon women’s semifinal or final on record, was one of the most exciting of this year’s tournament.

The 29-year-old No. 3 Venus Williams reached her eighth (8th) final at the Wimbledon All England Club by defeating top-ranked Dinara Safina 6-1, 6-0 in less 60 minutes. Besides having won five Wimbledon singles titles, beating Serena in last year’s final, Venus is trying to become the first woman to win three straight championships since Steffi Graf from 1991-93.
