The Los Angeles coroner’s office ruled Michael Jackson’s death a homicide and an unsealed warrant said the singer had a lethal dose of the anesthetic propofol in his body when he died, the Associated Press reports.

Posted by: admin in Current Events, News and Current Events, Showbiz and Entertainment on June 25th, 2009
The legendary King of Pop, Michael Jackson died Thursday in his Los Angeles home. According to reports, Michael Jackson died of a cardiac arrest, which is ironic since his promoters said that Michael Jackson passed a long and hard of series of health test because he is getting ready for a series of concert in Europe, particularly in London. He was suppose to have a series of comeback concerts.

The circumstances of his death were not immediately clear. Jackson was not breathing when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his Los Angeles home about 12:30 p.m., Capt. Steve Ruda told the Los Angeles Times. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda told the newspaper.
Hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital as word of his death spread. The emergency entrance at the UCLA Medical Center, which is near Jackson’s rented home, was roped off with police tape.
“Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Jackson has just died,” a woman boarding a Manhattan bus called out shortly after the news was announced. Immediately many riders reached for their cell phones.

Posted by: admin in Holiday, News and Current Events on June 5th, 2009
National Donut Day! Yes, there is such a thing! I’m not making it up…
National Donut Day is on the first Friday of June each year. The holiday celebrates the doughnut (a.k.a “donut”) — an edible, ring-shaped piece of dough which is deep-fried and sweetened. Many American doughnut stores offer free doughnuts on National Doughnut Day. In 2009, both independent doughnut shops[1] and large national franchises offered free doughnuts in the United States.
Here’s some links (good read) for some information about National Donut Day 2009… Not just links but what’s really happening out there today, the National Donut Day!

Three Brazilian navy vessels were dispatched early Wednesday to the wreckage site of the Air France flight 447 after it crashed into the Atlantic on Sunday night after taking off from Rio de Janeiro destined to Paris.
The plane, carrying 228 people, lost contact with ground controllers after leaving Rio de Janeiro for Paris on Sunday night. The crew made no distress call before the crash, but the plane’s system sent an automatic message just before it disappeared, reporting lost cabin pressure and electrical failure.
