The field of food and nutrition has never been more vivid in the minds of the public than it is today. With all the conflicting reports on new food products and miracle substances, the public finds itself confused about what trend to respond,
Fear mongers often shut the vintage of voice of moderation, variety and plain common sense eating.
Every year there emerges a new diet book on the best seller list claiming to have discovered a new secret formula for health and fitness. Sometimes, one gets the idea that the only way to eat healthfully is to walk the tight rope of strict diet designed for Olympic athletes with 5% body fat.
For ordinary people like us, this is unrealistic and we get discourage even before embarking on a program.
To guide the public accordingly and to make food more palatable and enjoyable to all, nutrition scientists have come out with every simple and easy way of looking and shopping for food.
